Öko Institut
The Öko-Institut is one of Europe’s leading independent research and consultancy institutes for a sustainable future. Since its foundation in 1977 the institute has been developing principles and strategies for the vision of sustainable development at a global, national and local level. The institute has offices in Freiburg, Darmstadt and Berlin. The scientists deal with mobility issues from different perspectives and have a wide range of research and consulting experience in sustainable management as well as legal expertise.
The spectrum of current and completed research projects in the field of electromobility ranges from fundamental scientific analyses and policy advice to support and advice for municipalities, companies and private users of electromobility as well as accompanying the research of practical projects. In addition, the Öko-Institut has analysed various perspectives of providers and users in projects on innovative mobility concepts such as car sharing.
